Robert Glenn Gunter

Mr. Robert Glenn Gunter, 68, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021.

He was born in Cherokee County Jan. 31, 1953, to the late James Wesley Gunter and Flora Hendrix Gunter. He was an accomplished musician and was a member of Mountain Life Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife, Elizabeth Gunter; sons, Jacob Gunter and Gibson Gunter (Anna); daughters, Georgia Mulkey (Jeremy), Jessica Harbour (Jonathan) and Jamye Greene (Robert); brother, Jimmy Gunter; sisters, Gilla Hammondtree, Peggy Page, Sherry Gamble and Vicki McGee; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Fountain officiating.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
