The Rev. Larry Richard Reece Sr., 77, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
He was born in Pickens County May 16, 1944, to the late Rev. Horace Reece and Agnes McJunkins Reece.
He was retired from Mosley’s Tractor & Supply Company, was a member of Mountainview Baptist Church and was a Baptist minister for over 40 years.
He is preceded in death by wife, Ann Reece; brother, Morris Reece; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Lowe.
He is survived by daughters, Stacey Prather, and Stephanie Reece Jones; son, Ricky Reece (Missy); sisters, Alice Lowe, Sandy Bernhardt (Billy), Becky Fountain (Gary), and Vickie White (Michael); brother, Billy Reece (Betty); sister-in-law, Sue Reece; grandchildren, Brittany Wofford (Ethan), Teeb Holt, and Brenlyn Reece; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Allison and the Rev. Austin Harmon officiating and special remarks by Tim Mosley.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Matt Fountain, Adam Lowe, William Reece, Keith Reece, Jason Bernhardt, Teeb Holt and Ethan Wofford.
Donations can be made to the Yukon Cemetery Fund.
