Mrs. Peggy Ann Corbin Quarles, 77, of Ellijay, died Saturday, March 13, 2021.
She was born May 23, 1943, to the late Noah Paul, and Gussie Ernie Sanford Corbin, in Ellijay.
She was a member of Tails Creek Baptist Church and was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1961. She was employed by Robert Shaw Carpets, Davenport Hosiery Mill and Gold Kist Poultry.
She is survived by husband of 57 years, Eldridge Bruce Quarles; sons, Stacy Quarles, of Chatsworth, Ritchie Quarles and Debra Patterson, of Ellijay; grandchildren, Tia, Allison and Haley Quarles; great-grandchildren, Grace Quarles, Jayce Wright, Rylan Wright; sisters, Oma Jean Cauldwell, of Ellijay, Gertha Lee Banks, of Chatsworth, Gwenda Sue Davis, of Chatsworth, Nena Faye McClure, of Ellijay, Gail Sanford, of Chatsworth; brothers, Herman Corbin, of Ellijay, Arthur Corbin, of Chatsworth, Ronnie Corbin, of Robinsville, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Adams, the Rev. Brondy Davis and the Rev. Franklin Harper officiating.
Music was by Wanda Davis and Harold Sanford.
Pallbearers were Randy Cauldwell, Steve Corbin, Chris Corbin, Kenny Corbin, Larry Farist, Leon McClure, Josh Sanford, Darrel Harper, Kevin Harper and Stanley McArthur.
Interment was in the Tails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
