Mr. Paul McKenley McClure, 89, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.
He was born Aug. 31, 1932, in Marietta, to the late Paul M. and Linnie Jane (Turner) McClure.
He was a member of Mountaintown Baptist Church in Ellijay, where he served as a deacon.
He loved to spend time working in his garden and being outside.
He is preceded in death by brother, Dale McClure; and sister, Emma Louise Chastain.
He is survived by wife of 62 years, Lohreine C. McClure, of Ellijay; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Chris Hardy, of Cedartown; sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Pam McClure, of Marietta, Ken and Paula McClure, of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Madison and Dalton Johnson, McKenley King, Keyla McClure, Kyle McClure, Taylor and Kara McClure; great-grandchild, Levi Johnson; special caregivers, Vicki Franklin, Sharon Davis and Crystal Shubin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Snider, Brother Doug Hall, Brother Robert Gudger and Brother Hulett Brooks officiating.
Military rites were in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with honors performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
Interment was in the Mountaintown Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kyle McClure, Dalton Johnson, Doug Hall, Rick Danishek, Robert Gudger and John Weiss.
