Nancy Adele Waddell Hensley

Mrs. Nancy Adele Waddell Hensley, 90, of Ellijay, died Friday, May 27, 2022.

She was born June 12, 1931, in Ellijay, to the late Henry Cornelius and Ollie Ann Adams Waddell.

She worked at Dr. Schnieders’s office as the medical office assistant and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by husband, James B. Hensley.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Eddy and Kathy Hensley and Jerry and Debbie Hensley, all of Ellijay; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Dotson and the Rev. Bryan Hensley officiating.

Pallbearers were Nathan Hensley, Bryson Hensley, David Hensley, Joseph Hensley, Tim Mosley, Britt Taylor, J.D. Taylor, Zeke Hensley-Williams and Baylor Hensley-Williams.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Compassus Hospice for taking such great care of Adele.
