Ms. Ruth Davenport

Ms. Ruth Davenport, 85, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022.

She was born in Gilmer County April 8, 1936, to the late Virgil Davenport and Lola Aaron Davenport. 

She was retired from the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn., and was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by sons, Randall Herendon, Keith Herendon and Dean Herendon; daughter, Lavone Orchard; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Interment was in the Rock Creek Cemetery.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
