Ms. Joyce Fredia Anderson, 68, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at Parkside Ellijay Skilled Nursing Care.
She was born Dec. 26, 1950, in Ellijay, to the late Horace W. and Stella Davenport Parks. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She is preceded in death by sisters, Catherine Skates, Benalee Wright, JoAnn Abercrombie, Glenda Queen; and brothers, J.D. Parks and Jack Parks.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sharon Anderson, of Ellijay; granddaughter, Lexie Marie Anderson, of Ellijay; sisters, Oleeta Parks Hughes, of Old Fort, Tenn. and Alene Parks Whitaker, of Chatsworth; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating.
Music was by the Rev. Irene Wofford.
Interment followed in the Calvary Way Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Melvin Davis, Brandon Davis, Jamie Whitaker and Rick Goodwin.
