Mrs. Virginia Louise Booth Luttrell

Mrs. Virginia Louise (Booth) Luttrell, 87, of Lenoir City, Tenn., died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022. She was a long-time resident of Ellijay, before moving to Tennessee to live with her eldest son and his wife.

She was born Sept. 9, 1934, in Marietta, to the late Odie Cecil and Maggie Florence (Thackston) Booth and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by husband, the Rev. Ernest Paul “Junior” Luttrell Jr.; and daughter, Judith Rosetta Luttrell; and 11  siblings.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at North East Piney Grove Baptist Church in Marietta, with the Rev. Carroll Holbrooks officiating.

Graveside interment was in the church cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ernest Leon Luttrell and Linda Puzey, of Lenoir City, Tenn.; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Dianne and Don Flowers, of Doraville; son, Alton Ray Luttrell, of Rome; daughter, Susan Paulette Luttrell, of Morrow; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
