Mrs. Vera Lee Bramlett, 83, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at her residence.

She was born in Gilmer County Dec. 22, 1938, to the late James Milton Vick and Inez Trammell Vick.

She was retired from Gilmer Nursing Home and was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Hicks Blair; grandson, Lee Taylor; sisters, Pauline Vick, Betty Daves, Geraldine Bradford and Christine Vick; brothers, Clell Vick and Leslie Vick.

She is survived by husband, James Randall Bramlett; daughter, Cathy Simmons Taylor (Howard); brothers, Cecil and J.R. Vick; sisters, Annie Lee Crump and Sara Griffin; grandchildren, Mark Simmons (CiCi Wheeler), Brad Simmons (Heather), Jacob Hicks (Leanne), Tina Bright (Randall), Tracy Taylor, Mark Taylor (Jody); granddaughter-in-law, Lynn Taylor; special friends, Amanda and Nick Swhwarz; special great-grandson, Aiden Umensetter; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, at Flat Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Stover and the Rev. Wallace Parks officiating.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brad Simmons, Mark Simmons, Jacob Hicks, Aiden Umensetter, Tony Crump and Richard Esparza.

Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Henson, Jordon Wheeler, Michael Bramlett, Gary Bramlett, Kevin Bramlett, Keith Bramlett, Tony Bramlett, Ricky Bramlett, John Bramlett, David Bramlett, Jeff Bramlett, Carl Bramlett Jr., Justin Bright, Matt Esparza, Brandon Esparza and Ronald Vick.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
