Mrs. Rita Harwell McKeever, 94, died Monday, May 10, 2021, at Spanish Oaks Retreat.
She was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Mobile, Ala., to the late Theodore “Hick” Harwell and Kathleen McCarthy Harwell. She was of the Catholic faith and was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers.
She is preceded in death by husband, Shelton R. McKeever.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn and Randy Wise, of Savannah; stepchildren, Mike McKeever, Scott McKeever, Mark McKeever, Greg McKeever, and Lisa McKeever; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A rosary service was held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A private burial will be held at a later date in Ellijay.
