Mrs. Nina Jane Akins Waddell, 84, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021.
She was born in Gilmer County Aug. 31, 1936, to the late Ben Akins and Iowa Cochran Akins.
She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Lewis Waddell; sons, Robert Waddell Jr., and Ralph Waddell; daughter, Debbie Waddell Prater; brothers, John Akins, Fay Akins, Clinton Akins and Stant Akins; and sister, Nena Burnett.
She was retired from Robert Shaw Controls, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by son, Henry Waddell and wife, Cathy, of Ellijay.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, from the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Glen Arnold officiating.
