Mrs. Malvalene “Mab” (Foster) Simmons, 91, of Talking Rock, died Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Assured Hospice in Cartersville.

She was born April 13, 1929, to the late Mark Ed and Victoria Eria (Silvers) Foster, in Ellijay. 

She was a member of Ball Creek Baptist and co-owner and operator of Ellijay Florist for many years. 

She is preceded in death by husband, Clifford Simmons; sister, Sylvia Foster Reece; and brother, Elmo Foster.

She is survived by nephew, Macky Garrett, of Talking Rock; great-nieces and nephews, Suzanne Garrett, of Talking Rock, Torri and the Rev. Justin Hensley, of Ellijay, Jody and Sarra Garrett, of Ellijay, P.J. and Seth Kirk, of Jasper, Tracy Mundy, of Jasper; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2020, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Justin Hensley, the Rev. Greg Bryant and the Rev. Wallace Parks officiating.

Interment was in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
