Mrs. Diane Barnes, of Ellijay, passed away at her residence Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Mrs. Barnes was born in Gilmer County to the late Hoover Kincaid and Ozella West Kincaid. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Jerry Kincaid and husband, Donnie Barnes.
She worked as a respiratory technician in Ellijay and did in-home patient care for many years.
She loved visiting different churches and spending time with her family and helping with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jerome Lowman; grandchildren, Matthew, Samuel and Gracie Lowman, all of the home, in Ellijay.
Graveside services were held Friday, May 7, at 2:30 p.m. from the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Dotson officiating.
Pallbearers were Larry Sujak, Jerome Lowman, Matthew Lowman, Billy Ayers, Roger Kincaid, Jeremy and David Barnes. Honorary pallbearers were Samuel, and Sam Lowman.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
