Mrs. Jeanette McArthur Royston, 82, of Austell, formerly of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Austell. 

She was born July 2, 1937, in Ellijay to the late Everett D. and Gertrude (Miller) McArthur. 

She was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1955, Young Harris College and Georgia State University. She retired as an administrative assistant from Lockheed Martin and attended Cartecay United Methodist Church. During her retirement years, she enjoyed documenting her family’s genealogy and was an avid reader. 

She is preceded in death by husband, Julius Barton (JB) Royston Jr.; and brothers, Harley McArthur and Jerry McArthur.

She is survived by daughter, Linda Gertrude Chambers, of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Bart and Julie Royston, of Jonesboro, Joel Royston and Patti Corriveau, of Plant City, Fla., Gene and Angela Royston, of Hernando, Miss.; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Anita and Barney Flanders, of Carrollton; grandchildren, Amber Marie Chambers and Tiffany Alexis Chambers; stepgrandchildren, Brian, Brandon, Jason, Justin, Hannah, Russ and Rachel; and great-granddaughter, Lacey Marie Connolly; stepgreat-grandchildren, Blaine, Wyatt, Leah, Aria, Percy, Jasper and Ayla; and sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Tom Tabor, of Marietta.

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Lowery officiating. 

Music was by Regina Mathis. 

Interment was in the Cartecay United Methodist Church Cemetery.
