Mrs. Gertha Lee Corbin Banks, 81, of Chatsworth, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021.

She was born in Gilmer County Feb. 10, 1940, to the late Noah Paul Corbin and Gussie Sanford Corbin. In addition to parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Corbin and Truman Corbin; three sisters, Peggy Quarles, Annie Pinson and Mary Nell Corbin. She was a member of Tails Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Mohawk.

Survivors include husband, John Vernon Banks; son, Terry Banks; two daughters, Diane Brown (Tim) and Debra Foster (Lebo); three  brothers, Herman Corbin, Ronnie Corbin and Arthur Corbin; four sisters, Omajean Caldwell, Nena McClure, Gail Sanford and Gwen Davis; four grandchildren, Matthew Townsend, Joanna Cross, Chip Brown and Sarah Beth Brown; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Townsend, Eli Townsend and Lillie Cross.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Harmon officiating. Interment was in the Tails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Phillip Cross, Matthew Townsend, Chip Brown, Tim Pinson, Keith Pinson and Gary Queener.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
