Mrs. Barbara Ann Tilley Waddell, 77, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021.
She was born May 14, 1943, to the late Paul and Nell Tilley, in Gilmer County. She was a homemaker until her children went to school then she was a hair dresser for many years.
She is preceded in death by husband, Harold Waddell.
She is survived by son, Christopher Waddell; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Richard Hughes, of Ellijay; special friend, Ruel Hice; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Regina Tilley; brother-in-law, Roy and June Waddell; sisters-in-law, Vera Mae Padgett, Betty Waddell, Fran Waddell; grandchildren, Christopher (Bo) Hughes and wife, Kim Hughes, Charles (Taylor) Hughes, Hannah and husband, Camron Engler Clay and Hayley Waddell; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hughes, Peyton Hughes Colton Hughes, Trent Engler, Reyna Engler, Liam Waddell and Dallas Waddell; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb 8, 2021, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Easley officiating.
Interment will follow at a later date in the Sunlight Baptist Church Cemetery.
