Millie Janette Brittain Markham

Mrs. Millie Janette Brittain Markham, 87, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022.

She was born Dec. 20, 1934, in Shelby, N.C., to Zed Ernest and Clara Belle Hicks Brittain.

She is preceded in death by husband, Richard Allen Markham; and brother, James Roger “Butch” Brittain.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Toni and Greg Abernathy, of Ellijay, Nikki Trevino, of Marietta; son, Scott Allen Markham, of Anniston, Ala.; grandchildren, Kelly Miller, Kevin (Ashley) Markham, Steven (Yuan) Abernathy, Samantha (Jack) Hoston, Sarah (Daniel) Nelson, Rachel (Anthony) Digise, Millie (Jacob) John and Zed Carol; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating.
