Mr. Mark M. Rittenberry, 57, of Talking Rock, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at Well Star Tranquility Hospice in Marietta.
He was born in Tate March 6, 1964, to Doyle Hugh and Elizabeth Faye “Big Betty” Rittenberry.
He was a welder by trade and owned Bubba’s Mobile Welding for over a decade, oftentimes saying he could weld a broken heart if there was a rod for it!
He was an avid hunter and fisherman of deer, turkey and bluecats! He loved his overalls, guns and fishing rods! There wasn’t much of anything that he couldn’t do, but he will most be remembered as being a gentle giant. He was kind and loving and will be forever missed.
He is preceded in death by mother and father; brothers, David Rittenberry and Tim Rittenberry; and sister, Mildred Rittenberry.
He is survived by wife of 39 years, Renea Rittenberry; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Megan Rittenberry, of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Randy Herrick, of Talking Rock; sister, Regina Davis, of Jackson; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia (Sissy) and David Patterson, of Calhoun; aunt and uncle, Sally Ruth and Leroy Stenberg, of Ellijay; grandson, Elijah Rittenberry; father-in-law, Kenneth McArthur, of Talking Rock; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Whitestone Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Kerr and the Rev. Byron Tillery officiating.
