Mark James Pilla

Mr. Mark James Pilla, 79, of West Palm Beach, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021.

He was born Aug. 11, 1942, in Gary, Ind., to Leonard and Margaret J. (Fabri) Pilla. He was a graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

He served as a Green Beret with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a civil engineer for MasTec at the time of his retirement.

He married the love of his life Macy J. (Trausi) Pilla and was married for 36 years until the time of her death. He was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. He was a loyal follower of Christ and a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church in West Palm Beach, Florida.

He is survived by son, Leo D. Pilla and wife, Anna Gladin Pilla, of Jasper; grandsons, Justin T. Pilla, of Jasper, and Lucas H. Pilla, of Bentonville, Ark.; special friend, Tish Hart, of Napierville, Ill.; and church family at Cornerstone Fellowship Church of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, at the Logan Home Funeral Home Pavilion with the Rev. Michael Ferguson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 13969 Orange Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33412 in memory of Mr. Pilla.
