Mr. Lee Roy Long, 81, of Ellijay died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021.
He was born May 17, 1940, to the late Freeman and Elzie Chastain Long.
He was a high school graduate, worked for Lockheed for 32 1/2 years as an inspector and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to sit and watch deer.
He is survived by wife, Catherine Joyce Neal Long by sons, Gary Long and Arnold Long; daughter, Tommie (Lamar) Earwood; grandchildren, Jarrett Long and Brittney Long; seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Minister Jeremy Green officiating.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
