Mr. Larry Leon Eller, 65, of Ellijay, died Friday, June 10, 2022, from the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Ellijay.
He was the son of the late Bill and Martha Eller and was a lifelong resident of Gilmer County.
He and Glenda met and married young and raised two wonderful sons. He was a longtime fixture at Bears Garage and kept many Gilmer County’s citizens on the road.
After he retired from the garage, he became a stay-at-home grandpaw to his two favorite boys.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Doug Eller, Jimmy Eller, Jack Evans, William Eller Jr. and Joann Prater.
He is survived by wife, Glenda Eller; sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Hannah Eller; Steve and Candice Eller; grandsons, Aiden Eller, Jack Eller; sisters and brother-in-law, Martha ‘’Bo’’ Morgan, Peggy Cook, Pat Beavers, Sue and Gerald Eaton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Grizzle and Minister David Mullins officiating.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steve Eller, Shawn Eller, Bear Patterson, Chris Mullinax, Alan Hall and Melvin Davis.
Honorary pallbearers were CJ Reid and Jeramiah Weeks.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
