Judy Dixie Duckett Sanford, 78, of Ellijay, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2021.
She was born Feb. 15, 1943, in Dalton, to the late Ernest and Lillie Mae Sisson Duckett. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and retired as manager of Country Cupboard Stores of Ellijay.
She is preceded in death by husband, Edward Lewis Sanford; sisters, Betty Jarbo; brothers, Paul Duckett, Glenn Duckett and Ralph Duckett.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tena and Vic Stewart, of Ellijay; son, Eddie Lamar Sanford, of Ellijay; grandchildren, Eddie Sanford II, Kennedi Sanford (Justin) Fendley, Ian Stewart, Thomas (Haley) Davis, Tanner Davis, Dylan Stewart; great-grandchildren, Violet Fendley, Payton Fendley, Paxton Fendley, Ellie Stewart, Carter Stewart, Parker Davis, Blakely Davis; brother Walter (Betty) Sisson, of Augusta; sister-in-law, Wanda Lynn Duckett, of Blue Ridge, Virginia Sanford, Pat Sanford, both of Ellijay.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Jones officiating.
Music was by Jadie Lee.
Pallbearers were Eddie Sanford II, Thomas Davis, Tanner Davis, Ian Stewart, Dylan Stewart, Justin Fendley and Kennedi Fendley.
Interment was in the East Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery.
