Mr. Joel Lee Sweat Jr., 82, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019.
He is survived by wife, Louise Sweat, of Ellijay; sons, Joel Lee Sweat III, of Pasadena, Calif., Kerry Sweat, of Ellijay; brother, Larry Eugene Sweat, of Ellijay; sisters, Shirley Ann Craig, of Apopka, Fla., Katherine Juanita Garner, of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jaylen Frady and Jared Sweat.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Kerry Sweat officiating.
The family will meet with friends from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home Saturday.
