James Pinkney Manning

Mr. James Pinkney Manning, 84, of Ellijay, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2021.

He was born May 6, 1937, in Ellijay, to the late Benjamin Franklin and Isabell Arizonia Newton Manning.

He was a member of Northcutt Baptist Church and served honorably in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and owned and operated Manning Construction Company.

He is preceded in death by brother, Franklin Leroy Manning.

He is survived by daughter, Shannon Leigh Ridings, of Ellijay; grandchildren, Kristie Ridings and Will Ridings, of Ellijay.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at the Logan Funeral Home pavilion with the Rev. Glen Arnold and the North Georgia Honor Guard officiating.
