James Frederick Elliott

Mr. James Frederick Elliott, 83, of Arkansas, formerly of Ellijay, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022.

He was born in Manchester, N.H., Feb. 5, 1938, to the late James Stewart Elliott and Thelma King Elliott. He was a United States veteran who served over 25 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Ellijay First United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by wife, Edith Elliott; daughter, Debbie Kelly; son, Douglas Elliott; and granddaughter, Karlene Elliott.

He is survived by son, Jeff Elliott (Carla); daughter, Cheryl Wardrop (Kevin); grandchildren, Amy Donovan, Kayelee Elliott, Shellie Elliott and Michelle Mckarty; and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kody Donovan.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Shores officiating.

Interment was in Yukon Cemetery.

Military honors were conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
