James Elbert Wildes, 82, died Monday, June 1, 2020, at his residence. 

He was born Dec. 27, 1937, in Norman Park,  to the late James Raymond Wildes and Alma Ellen Garran Wildes. 

He is preceded in death by sister, Faye Wildes Gardner; and brother, Searcy Wildes.

Funeral services were held at noon Saturday, June 6, 2020, at the Mountaintown Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. George Barnett officiating. 

Music was by Melanie Beasley and Jan Hall.

He was a faithful member of Mountaintown Baptist Church, served his country honorably in the United States Marines and was a commercial printer/publicist as owner of Bear Printing and Baby Bear Advertising in Ellijay and of South Print in Marietta.

He is survived by beloved wife of 59 years, Linda Gail Ellis Wildes; daughters and son-in-law, Ann Wildes and Scott Adamavage, of Ellijay, Robin Wildes Sarkesian, of Decatur; grandchildren, Lindy (John) Trimble, Elijah Sarkesian, Tori Sarkesian, Lori (Luke) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Ivy Trimble, Ella Trimble, Brently Waldon, Cason Thomas; sister, Sue Wildes Chancey of Moultrie.
