Mr. James Edward Burleson, 72, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020.
He was born June 27, 1947, in Gilmer County, to the late Ed and Gladys Lewis Burleson.
He was a 1966 graduate of Gilmer High School and Pickens Tech, served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a senior mechanic at Carters Lake powerhouse.
He is preceded in death by wife, Lois Bailey Burleson.
He is survived by daughter, Ann Burleson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Ray officiating.
Pallbearers were Billy Cochran, Doy Tucker, Billy Branch, Andrew Cochran, Johnny Ray and Bill Wright.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery with military rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
