Mr. George Harold Hall, 85, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022.

He was born June 1, 1936, in Ellijay, to the late John Sr. and Mamie Bell (Ingle) Hall.

He was a member and past deacon and treasurer for 35 years at the Ellijay Church of Christ.

He retired from Robert Shaw Controls after 20 years of service. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School.

He is preceded in death by sisters, Inez H. Drennen and Mary H. Mayfield; brothers the Rev. Fred Hall, Frank Hall, Bill Hall and John Hall Jr.: sisters-in-law, Frankie, Lillie, Dorothy, Betty and Lorene.

He is survived by wife of 62 years, Ernestine M. Hall; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Pam H. Hall, Alan Hall, all of Ellijay, and Jay and Lydia P. Hall, of Searcy, Ark; grandchildren, Spencer and Natalie Hall, Tucker Hall, Carley Hall, Parker Hall, Blake Hall; and brother, Tom Hall, Ellijay.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, from Ellijay Church of Christ with Minister Butch Jones officiating, and eulogy by Spencer Hall, Jay Hall and Tim Hall.

Congregational music was led by Tucker Hall.

Interment was in the Ellijay City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Spencer Hall, Tucker Hall, Parker Hall, Blake Hall, Doug Hall, John Hall III, Donald Hall, Danny Hall, Johnny Mayfield, Claude Mayfield and Charles Hall.

Honorary pallbearers were the present deacons of the Ellijay Church of Christ.
