Gary Dale Weaver

With great sorrow we announce the passing of Gary Dale Weaver, 52, of Blue Ridge.

He went to be with the Lord Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, in Blairsville.  He was born again at the age of 13, and was of the Baptist faith.

He was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church in Morganton, serving as the church treasurer.  He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a light and a blessing to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by father, Paul Felton Weaver; nephew, Heath Stover; and father-in-law, the Rev. James Holsonback.

He leaves behind wife, Amanda Weaver; son, Stephen Weaver of the home; mother, Kathy Weaver, of Ellijay; mother-in-law, Betty Holsonback, of Epworth; brothers, Wade Weaver and Mark Weaver, both of Ellijay, and Mark and Melissa Holsonback, of McCaysville; sisters, Elane Hughes, of Ellijay, and Lynn Fowler (Francisco Vargas), of Chatsworth; special brother, Shaun and Tara Simmons; and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, from Maple Grove Baptist Church in Morganton with the Rev. Nathan Smith and the Rev. Gerald Siniard officiating.

Music was by Hannah Holsonback.

Pallbearers were Mark Holsonback, Justin Hughes, Shaun Simmons, the Rev. Frank Ray, John Holsonback, Adam Weaver, Luke Holsonback and Austin Weaver.

Honorary pallbearers were Landen Siniard and Benjamin Holsonback.

Interment was in the Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
