Mrs. Dorothy Jean Stanley, 90, of Cherry Log, died Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in Jasper. She was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Fannin County, to the late John Nelson Waters and the late Mamie Jane Waters. She was a member of Boardtown Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Wiggins; second husband, Herbert Stanley; daughter, Linda Oliver; brother, Kenneth Waters; sisters, JoAnn Storms and Willie Mae Thurman; daughter-in-law, Kim Wiggins; and son-in-law, Lewis Card.
She is survived by daughters, Virginia Card and Teresa (Wayne) Watkins; son, Kenny (Raquell) Wiggins; daughter, Lynette Barker; sisters, Joyce Butler and Melba Bennett; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Boardtown Church of Christ with Minister Butch Jones and Minister Tommy Kyle officiating.
Interment was in Boardtown Church of Christ Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Dotson, Hunter Smith, Daniel Buckner, Cody Buckner, Chris Thurman, Jeremy Hamrick, Kevin Hamrick and Andrew Caine.
