Mr. David Richard Mankin, 69, died Friday, July 30, 2021.
He was born Nov. 16, 1951, in Manhattan, N.Y., to the late Saul and Sally Rosen Mankin.
He was a member of the House of Scripture Fellowship in Jasper.
He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and journalism. He earned his Juris Doctorate in law from Nova University in Florida.
He is survived by wife of 21 years, Cort D. Mankin; daughter and son-in-law, Josephine Page (Jerry) Florence, of Morganton; son, Travis Andrew Carter, of Ellijay; sister-in-law, Betsy Lou Browning; and his beloved pets, Muzby, Misha and Chopstix.
A private family service is planned for a later date.
