Mr. David Alan Davenport, 68, of Cherry Log, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021, at his residence.
He was born in Copper Hill, Tenn., Oct. 14, 1952, to the late Jewell Davenport and Vera Mathis Davenport. He was retired from the textile industry.
He is survived by wife, Sabrina Davenport; son, Joshua Davenport; sister, Susan Gibbs; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, from the New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Davenport officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ricky Walker, Bill Withrow, Nate Withrow, Billy Messer, Greg Belt, Michael Patton and Jonathan Herndon.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
