Mr. Clyde Coy Beal, 88, of Ellijay, died Saturday, March 7, 2020, at his residence. 

He was born June 5, 1931, to the late Eula Elizabeth Hensley and J.V. Beal. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, served honorably in the United States Army in Korea, and was a retiree after 20 years with Jasper Jeep. 

After retirement, he owned and operated his own auto repair garage. 

He is preceded in death by sister, Barbara Tipps; and brother, Tommy Beal. 

He is survived by wife of 66 years, Vera Ponder Beal; daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Beal Woody and Kimberly and Mitchell Stanfield, all of Ellijay; grandchildren, Amy Nichole Crump and Christopher Clyde Crump; great-grandchildren, Ava Lynn Garren, Layla Lei Garren and Landree Kate Crump; brothers and sisters-in-law, the Rev. Joe Wayne and Ana Beal and Claude and Maxine Beal, of Ellijay. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2020, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Hagin, the Rev. Tim Hyde and the Rev. Justin Hensley officiating. 

Music was by the Clayton family and Kayla Easley. 

Military honors followed in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with rites performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. 

Interment was in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tim Bell, Randy Ponder, Brent Ponder, Jake Ponder, Jamie Easley, Jeff Vick, Gary Harper, Tony Smith, Ryke Lowe and Slade Lowe.
