Claude Manuel Holt

Mr. Claude Manuel Holt, 84, of Ellijay, died Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.

He was born in Gilmer County to the late Fuller Manuel Holt and Mintie Forrest Holt. He was the founder and owner of Ellijay Heating & Air.

He was a member of Flat Branch Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by brothers, Milton Holt, E.D. Holt, John Holt and Jack Holt; and sisters, Lucille Dover and Helen Bradley.

He is survived by wife of 58 years, Brenda York Holt; sons and daughter-in-laws, Manuel (Alicia) Holt, of Ellijay and Shane (Connie) Holt; and grandchildren, Teeb Holt, Millie Holt, Cooper Holt, Gunner Holt and Lyla Holt.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Harper, the Rev. Lamar Beason and the Rev. Curtis Easley officiating.

Interment was in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
