Christopher Warren Jones

Mr. Christopher Warren Jones, 61, of Ellijay, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, at Northside Cherokee Hospital.

He was born Aug. 22, 1961, in Gilmer County, to the late Warren Jones and Anna Ruth Payne Jones.

He was a graduate of Gilmer High School and was a small business owner, welder and fabricator. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting, fishing and camping.

He loved the Lord and was a member of East Ellijay Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Christin and Corey Smith and Jordan and CJ Reece; son and daughter-in-law, Chandler and Chasiti Jones; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Don Crider, Janie and Roger Kincaid, and Claudia and David Townley; and a devoted Papaw to three grandchildren, Savannah Simmons, Hadley Smith and Easton Reece.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Jess Posey and the Rev. Chad Kelley officiating.

Interment was in the East Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mark Cochran, James Wishon, Brian Hulsey, Kelly McGee, Jeff Motes and Chris “Scooter” Hazelwood.
