Charles Emory Chesnut Jr.

Mr. Charles Emory Chesnut Jr., 94, died June 5, 2019. He was born Dec. 17, 1924, to Charles Sr. and Carrie Gatlin Chesnut, in Clarkston.

He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jack (Joann) Chesnut, of Ellijay, Norman (Joann) Chesnut, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Robert (Sarah) Chesnut, of Grand Saline, Texas; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was a purple heart recipient as an infantryman during World War II in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tucker.

Military memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
