Mr. Cecil Edward Vick, 73, of Crandall, died Monday, July 12, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by parents, Andrew Jackson and Cassie Jane White Vick: sisters and brothers, Edith Vick Roland, Juanita Vick Davis, Nell Vick, Troy Vick, Bobby Vick and Gene Vick.
He is survived by wife of 40 years, Thelma Vick; son and fiance, Eddy Vick and Tish Black; daughters and sons-in-law, Deetra and Mike Foster, Angie and Chris Wilbanks, all of Crandall; sisters, Marlene Vick Hewitt, of Dalton, and Brenda Vick Collis, of Jasper; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephew and spouse, Phil and Luann Philyaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Beavers officiating.
Interment will be in Flat Creek Cemetery, 64 Walnut Ridge Lane, Ellijay.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the funeral home.
