Mrs. Bonnie Jean Helton, 81, was called to her heavenly home Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, in Ellijay.
She was born March 26, 1940, to the late Carroll and Dorothy Douglas in Miami Springs, Fla.
She will be best remembered for her kind heart and being the rock of the family.
She is preceded in death by sons, Lawrence and Thomas; and sister, Patricia.
She is survived by longtime partner, Randal Newton; sons, Robert (Melody) Helton; Douglas Helton; daughters-in-law, Cynthia, Tammy and Sharon; grandchildren, Brandon (Morgan), Tiffany, Joshua (Tiffany), Andrew (Danielle), Christopher (Victoria), Kelly, Uriah (Cassandra), Caitlyn and Wesley (Gracey); 12 great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; brother, Paul (Sherry) Douglas; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at Grace Baptist Church, 164 Legion Road, Ellijay, GA 30540. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. with the service at 3 p.m.
