Bobby Griggs

Mr. Bobby Griggs, 79, of Ellijay, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at his residence.

He was born in Gilmer County April 30, 1942, to the late Glen Griggs and Annie Leola Carroll Griggs.

He was retired from Mohawk Industries and was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Dale Griggs; brothers, Herbert Griggs, Gene Griggs, David Griggs, Alden Griggs and Raymond Griggs.

He is survived by wife, Nettie Smith Griggs; daughter, Lisa Hasty; sons, Robby Griggs, Timmy Griggs (Stacie), Jody Griggs (Donna), and Mark Griggs (Benita); brother, Dwight Griggs; sisters, Glenda Davis (Melvin), Bernice Mosley, Phyllis Lowe, and Rosa Strickler (Leonard); 15 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. John Reece, the Rev. Ray Dycus and the Rev. Nick Nealey officiating.

Interment was in Yukon Cemetery.

Pallbearers were B.J Griggs, Tyler Griggs, Cody Griggs, Colter Griggs, Ryan Griggs, Aidan Griggs, Caleb Hasty and Mitchell Griggs.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
