Bobbie Reece Bruce

Ms. Bobbie Reece Bruce, 82, of Talking Rock, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at The Retreat at Jasper.

She was born April 18, 1940, in Gilmer County, to the late Willie Reece and Thelma Teague Reece.

She was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1957, and was the owner of a shoe store in Ellijay. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Reece.

She is survived by special friend, Roy A. Pritchard; sons, David Linton Bruce, of Ellijay and Danny Ernest Bruce, of Talking Rock; daughter, Sandra Gail Evans, of Canton; sister, Jeri Stephens, of Ellijay; grandchildren, Shaina Peritts, Tabitha Roper, Eric Evans, Devin Martinez and Madison Bruce; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Langley officiating. Interment was at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, in the Mountain View Park Cemetery.

Bernhardt Funeral Home of Ellijay was in charge of arrangements.
