Mr. Ben Anderson Holt Jr., 58, of Canton, formerly of Ellijay, died Monday, March 8, 2021, at the Northside Cherokee Hospital.
He was born July 19, 1962, to Ben Anderson Sr. and the late Jaqueline Loretta Westbrook Wilbanks, in Ellijay. He was a member of Mt. Paran Church of God, Pi-Kappa-Alpha fraternity and the Boy Scouts of America. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1980, and attended Georgia Tech and Southern Polytech University.
He is survived by wife of 39 years, Lynn Burleson Holt; daughters and sons-in-law, Lindsey and Andrew Howlett, of Winter Garden, Fla., Ragan and Nick Schlappi, of Milton, R. Erin Holt and Zach Taylor, of Canton; grandchildren, Griffin, Elliot and Crawford Schlappi; father, Ben Sr. and Gyann Holt, of Ellijay; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth and Gary Brandon, Shanna Holt, Paige and Sean Todd, Cherish and Aaron Roberts, Anya and Chris Trulove, Karis and Simon Hunter; brothers and sister-in-law, Brandon and Niurmar Holt, Barrett Holt, Blake Holt and Blaine Holt; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Fields officiating.
Interment was in the Ellijay City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brandon Holt, Barrett Holt, Blake Holt, Blaine Holt, Gary Brandon, Sean Todd, Andrew Howlett, Nick Schlappi and Zach Taylor.
