Mr. Arzinas “Art” Sisson, 90, of Ellijay, died Thursday, April 29, 2021.
He was born April 23, 1931, in Ellijay, to the late Charlie Frank and Stella Lea Willis Sisson.
He was of the Baptist faith and retired as a surveyor from Zeigler & Associates Land Surveying Company.
He is preceded in death by sons, Gary Harold Sisson and Randy Dellwood; sister, Lilly Moe Bennett; brothers, Charles Sisson, J.D. Sisson, C.S. Sisson, James Sisson, Wayne Sisson, Calvin Sisson; and many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by son, Danny Art and Anita Lea Sisson, of Ellijay; sisters, Mary Alice Jones, of Ellijay, Jeanette and Johnny Hill, of Ellijay; brother, Alvin Sisson, of Ellijay; five grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Jones, the Rev. Johnny Grizzle and the North Georgia Honor Guard officiating.
Interment was in the Ballew Cemetery.
