Mr. Alan Douglas Boatwright, 59, died July 18, 2020. 

He was born Sept. 9, 1960, to the late Christopher Columbus and Eunice Hagan Boatwright, in Ellijay. He was a member of Nine Mile United Methodist Church and a Gideon. He was self-employed as a professional carpenter.

He is survived by loving wife of 31 years, Diane Moore Boatwright; daughters and son-in-law, Terri and Jason Bone, of Gainesville, Tammie Lancaster, of Franklin, N.C. and Tracie Lindquist, of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Cody Lancaster, Chance Lancaster, Cassie Lancaster, Dylan Bone, Carter Lindquist and Lucas Lindquist; great-grandchild, Riley Johnson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deia Ann and Henry Anderson and Judy and Wayne Parker, all of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete P.W. and Susan Boatwright and Mack and Rhonda Boatwright, all of Ellijay, Delano and Barbara Boatwright, of Chatsworth; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He requested that everyone please celebrate his life. No service will be held.
