Mr. Adam Stanley Childress, 40, of Easley, S.C., formerly of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at his residence in Easley, S.C. 

He was born Nov. 7, 1979, in Dalton, to the late Lawrence “Stan” Stanley and Joy Lee Cantrell Childress, of Ellijay. 

He graduated from Gilmer High School and worked in construction as an outside salesman for Carter of Easley, S.C. 

He loved music, played the drums and was a very kindhearted person with a strong work ethic. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Cantrell and Steve Tipton officiating. 

Graveside services followed in the Scrougetown Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kenny Wishon, Shawn Hefner, Chad Walker, Dennis Ralston, David Cantrell, Haley Cantrell, Chris Cantrell, William Cantrell and Les Cantrell. 

He is survived by mother, Joy Cantrell Childress, of Ellijay; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

The family requests that donations be made to the Scrougetown Church Cemetery Fund in care of Emmett Fowler, P.O. Box 551, Chatsworth, GA 30705, in memory of Adam.
