A Petition for Termination of Parental Rights has been filed as to the minor child C.S. born to Haley McGaha on August 21, 2013, filed by the Georgia Department of Human Services, acting by and through the Gilmer County Department of Family and Children Services, on January 18, 2024, said petition seeking to terminate all of your parental rights with respect to said child C.S. and all rights and obligations of the said child to you. You would not, after said order, be entitled to notice of proceedings for the adoption of the child by another person, nor have any right to object to the adoption or otherwise participate in the proceedings. A court hearing of your case has been scheduled for the 11th day of July 2024, at 9:30 a.m., at the Court of Gilmer County.
You have a right to a free copy of the petition filed in this case which you may obtain from the Clerk of Superior Court, Gilmer County, upon identifying yourself, or from the Gilmer County Department of Family and Children Services.
If you fail to appear, the court can terminate your rights in your absence.
If the court at the trial finds that the facts set out in the petition to terminate parental rights are true and that termination of your rights will serve the best interests of your child, the court can enter a judgment ending your rights to your child.
If the judgment terminates your parental rights, you will no longer have any rights to your child. This means that you will not have the right to visit, contact, or have custody of your child or make any decisions affecting your child or your childs earnings or property. Your child will be legally freed to be adopted by someone else.
Even if your parental rights are terminated:
(1) You will still be responsible for providing financial support (child support payments) for your child's care unless and until your child is adopted; and
(2) Your child can still inherit from you unless and until your child is adopted.
This is a very serious matter. You should contact an attorney immediately so that you can be prepared for the court hearing. You have the right to hire an attorney and to have him or her represent you. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, the court will appoint an attorney if the court finds that you are an indigent person. Whether or not you decide to hire an attorney, you have the right to attend the hearing of your case, to call witnesses on your behalf, and to question those witnesses brought against you.
You are advised that O.C.G.A. 15-11-283(d) provides as follows:
A biological father who is not the legal father loses all rights to the child and the court may enter an order terminating all the parental rights of a biological father, including any right to object thereafter to such proceedings who:
“(1)fails to file a timely petition to legitimate the child and notice in accordance with subsection (b) of this Code Section;
(2)Whose petition to legitimate is subsequently dismissed for failure to prosecute; or
(3)Whose Petition to Legitimate does not result in a court order finding that he is the legal father of the child.”

Under and by virtue of the Power of Sale contained in a Security Deed given by Orval T Lane and Linda Lane Dickerson to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as grantee, as nominee for First Option Mortgage, LLC, its successors and assigns, dated June 16, 2015, recorded in Deed Book 1923, Page 388, Gilmer County, Georgia Records, as last transferred to LAKEVIEW LOAN SERVICING, LLC by assignment recorded in Deed Book 2117, Page 190, Gilmer County, Georgia Records, conveying the after-described property to secure a Note in the original principal amount of ONE HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY AND 0/100 DOLLARS ($130,240.00), with interest thereon as set forth therein, there will be sold at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash before the courthouse door of Gilmer County, Georgia, or at such place as may be lawfully designated as an alternative, within the legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday in June, 2024, the following described property:
