Steven Foster Gibson

Mr. Steven Foster Gibson, 70, of Ellijay, died Friday, June 18, 2021, at Pruitt Healthcare of Jasper.

He was born in Columbus, June 20, 1950, to the late Francis Gibson and Johnnie Dixon Gibson. He was retired from Bell South and was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by brother, David Gibson. 

He is survived by wife, JoLinda Boyd Gibson; sons, Scott (Emily) Gibson, of Ball Ground, Phillip (Kristen) Gibson, of Athens, and Joel Gibson, of Decatur; sisters, Emily (David) Gibson, of Decatur and Nancy (Woody) Owens, of Macon; grandchildren, Evan Gibson (Ryann), Aaron Gibson, Natalie Gibson and Samuel Gibson.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mabelton with the Rev. Emily Gibson officiating. 

Pallbearers were Evan Gibson, Aaron Gibson, Adam Leslie, Scott Gibson, Phillip Gibson and Joel Gibson.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
