Bonnie Lee Handte was a retired educator from Gilmer County and a longtime volunteer at Faith, Hope and Charity. She flew with the angels Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022.
She was loved by Chuck, Ray and Connie, Matt and Joy, Karyn and Kris, her niece Lisa, all her grandchildren and a host of friends and colleagues.
According to her wishes, there will be no public visitation.
A private ceremony for the family will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith, Hope and Charity and the Gilmer County Animal Shelter.
