A Tennessee man was killed in a crash in Gilmer County.
Ronald W. Bettis, 43, of Apison, Tenn., suffered fatal injuries in a crash which occurred Sunday, Sept. 26, at 12:27 p.m., according to Georgia State Patrol.
Bettis was traveling east on Highway 52 on a 2017 BMW motorcyle when a 2003 Ford Bronco traveling west failed to yield the right of way and turned left onto Roberts Ridge Road, according to preliminary findings by the Georgia State Patrol. Bettis struck the passenger side of the Bronco.
The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is assisting with this crash investigation.
The driver’s name was not released and the crash is still under investigation, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
