Team River Runner takes to Cartecay for spring opener

    The Atlanta chapter of Team River Runner held its annual Spring Opener Friday, April 30, along the Cartecay River. The national nonprofit organization works with military veterans interested in paddle sports. Members of the Atlanta chapter train for their river outings throughout the year at the Cherokee County Aquatic Center in Canton. The spring outing found 12 participants navigating the Cartecay, the chapter’s “home river.”
