May 24 Primary Election results

Unofficial election results from the May 24 primary show Gilmer County Post Two Commissioner candidates John Marshall and Tom Whatley will head to a runoff on June 21. In school board races, Michael Bramlett (incumbent) won for Post 4 and Jacob Callihan for Post 5. The current election results are considered unofficial, according to the Gilmer Registrar's Office. Results are expected to be certified by Monday.
